WHO ARE WE?
HardinLoud Interactive is an indie game developer from the borderland of El Paso TX and Juarez CHIH. Blending our passion for music, storytelling, and of course retro gaming, our mission is to create authentic experiences for those whom it can resonate with the most.
This company is being spearheaded by R.E. Hardin, a musician, animator, and programmer. As the local dilettante behind this project, he has committed to channel all of his energy into these quirky creations. Due to this, HardinLoud is currently seeking passionate collaborators. One more thing: in order to make room for this endeavor, the Skwiglino brand will be discontinued. For more information on what that was please look for our blog post about that.
IN DEVELOPMENT:
We are currently developing the world of New Tenok, a post collapse iteration of the El Paso/Juarez borderland. An Action RPG heavily inspired by the Ocarina of Time, this adventure will center around a musician's quest for meaning against a dystopian imperial backdrop that squeezes the life out of its most undesirable denizens.
PREVIOUS PROJECTS:
Below is a downloadable link to Skwiglino64, a Mario64 decomp demo based in Ciudad Juarez, CHIH. This z64 ROM can be played on most Nintendo64 emulators (the screenshot being from iPhone's Delta emulator) and features a complete overhaul of the sounds, textures, and models to provide a unique experience and avoid issues with Nintendo's legal team.
The project contains:
- One overworld
- One main level
- 7 main collectibles (Carta Blanca Bottles)
- 50 coins (MXN pesos, to be precise)
- 1 key
- One brazenly immature sense of humor
There are currently no plans to develop this ROM hack into a complete game (although nothing is set in stone).
